Aluminum Repairs

Some vehicles have aluminum body panels which present challenges that don’t exist with common steel repairs.

Steel generally bends back and forth easily without failure (there are exceptions).  When aluminum alloys bend, they more rapidly fatigue toward the point of failure.  This doesn’t mean that repairs aren’t possible, but they can be more limited.

Below is a repair of a small ding in an aluminum hood – if it is done right the first time, often repair is possible.
