I recently discovered that my friend Stephan had an even bigger collection of photos from the 2007 Autodesk / Dodge speed record runs than I was previously aware. Russ Wicks was the driver. My responsibilities for the week included risk management, driving the push / chase truck and hitting stuff with a hammer.
We beat the previous record for a NASCAR spec stock car with a two way average speed of 244.9 MPH over a flying mile.
It was a wild time, and I think the photos are pretty cool…
